As fans eagerly await the release of the much-anticipated third season of Mirzapur, Ali Fazal, known for his role as Guddu Pandit, has dropped a major spoiler. In a recent interview with ANI, Fazal revealed that Jitendra Kumar, famed for his role as Sachivji in Panchayat, will make a cameo appearance in Mirzapur 3.
Ali Fazal shared, “That’s cross-promotion. We have done that,” confirming Jitendra Kumar’s role as Sachivji, who will appear in Mirzapur for paperwork related to the death of Kaleen Bhaiya (played by Pankaj Tripathi), spanning two episodes. This unexpected revelation surprised other cast members, as they had intended to keep it under wraps.
The trailer of Mirzapur 3 has already ignited excitement among fans. Richa Chadha, Fazal’s wife, gave a big shout-out to her husband on social media, expressing her admiration for his hard work and dedication to the role.

At the trailer launch event, producer Farhan Akhtar shared his enthusiasm for the show’s return, stating, “Mirzapur has made a place in the hearts of the audience all across the world. Wherever I go, people ask me only three questions, one is, ‘What are you doing here?’, the second is ‘When will Don 3 release?’ and the third question which they ask me is ‘When will Mirzapur 3 come?’. So, I’m very happy that Mirzapur 3 is finally happening.”
Directed by Anand Iyer and Gurmmeet Singh, Mirzapur 3 continues the gripping gangster narrative that has captivated audiences since 2018. The season is co-produced by Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani, and Kassim Jagmagia and will premiere on July 5 on Amazon Prime Video.
The second season of Mirzapur ended with shocking twists, including the death of Munna Tripathi (Divyendu Sharma) and Kaleen Bhaiya on the run after an assassination attempt by Guddu (Ali Fazal) and Golu (Shweta Tripathi Sharma). The third season promises even more intense drama and action, featuring returning actors such as Ali Fazal, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Rasika Dugal, Vijay Varma, Pankaj Tripathi, Harshita Gaur, Priyanshu Painyulli, Rajesh Tailang, Isha Talwar, Anjum Sharma, and Sheeba Chadha.
Ali Fazal revealed that Mirzapur 3 will introduce new characters and hand combat scenes, enhancing the show’s intensity. “Interestingly, we have introduced hand combat. We lose some important characters, but we gain some new ones. I underwent a different kind of preparation, which was fun,” he shared.
The third season of Mirzapur will consist of ten episodes, each over 45 minutes long, and will start streaming on July 5. Fans of the series are in for a thrilling ride as the story of revenge and redemption continues to unfold in the lawless land of Mirzapur.
