Mumbai: Team India extended an invitation to Indian fans, urging them to join in the celebration of the Men-in-Blue’s ICC T20 World Cup triumph. The World Cup-winning skipper Rohit Sharma encouraged passionate supporters to attend the victory parade at Marine Drive and the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday. India clinched their second ICC Men’s T20 World Cup title by defeating South Africa in a thrilling final.
Rohit Sharma, took to his X (formerly Twitter) to extend the invitation. He wrote, “We want to enjoy this special moment with all of you. So let’s celebrate this win with a victory parade at Marine Drive & Wankhede on July 4th from 5:00 pm onwards.”

The Rohit Sharma-led side will have an open-top bus ride in Mumbai at Marine Drive and the iconic Wankhede Stadium from 5:00 pm onwards to celebrate.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah also announced that they have decided to hold an open-top bus parade for the victorious Team India in Mumbai tomorrow. Shah invited India fans to the victory parade at Marine Drive and the Wankhede Stadium.

Earlier, the Men-in-Blue departed from Barbados on Wednesday in a special flight after they found themselves stranded in the country due to airport closures amid Hurricane Beryl’s impact. The Rohit-Sharma-led team is expected to land in New Delhi on Thursday.
