Foreign-Bound Students Need Not Lose Sleep Over What’s Next, MEA Here To Help

Finally a silver lining for foreign-bound Indian students spending sleepless nights wondering what next. With countries yet to lift travel restrictions and Bharat Biotech’s COVAXIN yet to get Emergency Use Listing by WHO, multiple questions have been clouding their mindscape about the future course of action.

In a welcome move, while addressing the media on Thursday, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that in keeping with Centre’s policies, MEA has been working proactively to protect interests of Indians residing abroad and taking up the issue of students stuck in India who are enrolled for foreign university courses with the countries concerned on priority.

A window of outreach where students could get in touch with the Centre for any assistance has also been opened up on the MEA website and MEA’s social media handles can also be used in case students face any issue.
