FACT CHECK
Newsmobile fact-checked the post, and found it to be fake.
With an advanced Search feature on X, the NM team tried to find the original post from Shrinate’s account, but failed.
Shrinate entered active politics in 2019, after transitioning from her earlier career as a journalist. We examined her tweets from 2012 and observed that they mirrored her journalistic background, maintaining a formal tone even when challenging authority.
The image was also circulated by certain conservative users following a supposed comment made by Shrinate in March 2024 regarding actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut, which ignited a political dispute.
In conclusion, the screenshot depicting a supposed tweet by Supriya Shrinate using unparliamentary language to attack Sonia Gandhi is not authentic.
