Shared by a Thread user, the poster reads: “Dhruv Rathee said: 200 million Muslims celebrated Eid yesterday, distributing meat to the poor and needy, meeting relatives, enjoying delicious food, giving Eidi to children, and making them happy. None of them got drunk or went to other places of worship to dance and provoke. What an amazing community #EidMubarak #DhruvRathee” (translated from Malayalam). The poster also includes an image of Dhruv Rathee.

The account’s bio mentions: “This is a fan and parody account and is not affiliated with the official Dhruv Rathee account. It does not impersonate anyone. This account is for parody purposes.” Created in October 2014, it has amassed 43.4K followers. Despite using similar cover images and posting political content like the original Dhruv Rathee account, the bio explicitly states it is not the authentic account.
Furthermore, we examined Dhruv Rathee’s official account, which boasts 2.6 million followers. There was no such post shared by the official account. Dhruv Rathee’s most recent post, dated June 18, highlighted concerns such as railway accidents, paper leaks, exam scams, and violence in Manipur.
