A news clip, claiming that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal blamed his deputy Manish Sisodia for the liquor policy scam, is doing the rounds on social media. As per the bulletin, Kejriwal gave this statement to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) during the interrogation. Many users claim it to be true.
A Facebook user posted the viral post (archive link) with the following caption:

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found it to be false.
With relevant keyword search about the incident, the NM team traced a news report in Live Law, dated June 26, 2024. According to the report, Kejriwal addressed the city’s Rouse Avenue Court on June 26 and denied making the viral statement.
He accused the CBI of spreading a false narrative. He insisted that he, Sisodia, and the entire AAP were innocent in the alleged scam.
Searching further, we came across a Tweet thread of live tweets by the official account of Bar and Bench, tweeting live updates from the courtroom. Here too, they tweeted that Kejriwal refuted any such claims.
In another X thread, which Live Law published on their X handle, the CBI counsel himself revealed that they have not started any such news and they are not the source of the viral claim.
Additionally, the official Instagram handle of Aam Aadmi Party shows another TV bulletin, saying that even the judge confirmed that Kejriwal did not make any such claim.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming Arvind Kejriwal put the entire blame for the liquor scam on Manish Sisodia, is false.
