NEET PG2024 Exam To Be Conducted On August 11

Date:

New Delhi: The entrance exam for NEET 2024 will take place on August 11, according to an announcement on Friday from the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences. June 23 was the original date for the exam.

The board said “In continuation of NBEMS notice dated 22.06.2024, the conduct of NEET-PG 2024 examination has been rescheduled. It will now be conducted on August 11 in two shifts. The cut-off date for the purpose of eligibility to appear in the NEET-PG 2024 shall continue to be August 15, 2024″.

On June 22 the Union Health Ministry postponed the NEET PG entrance examination which was scheduled to be conducted on June 23 as a precautionary measure due to allegations made over the integrity of the exam due to a paper leak case.

Since then, numerous meetings have been held to assess the “robustness” of the system for administering the exam, including ones with representatives from the Union Health Ministry, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), its technical partner Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the National Medical Commission (NMC), and the Cyber Cell.

The Ministry of Health decided to thoroughly evaluate the reliability of the NEET-PG entrance exam procedures. For medical students, NBEMS administers the National Eligibility Admission Test-Postgraduate (NEET-PG) admission test in conjunction with its technical partner TCS.

“In the past, before we joined the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, this exam was conducted in multiple shifts, not in two shifts. The same mechanism of normalization ratio was applied,” Dr Abhijat Sheth told ANI. “In the past, before we joined the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, this exam was conducted in multiple shifts, not in two shifts. The same mechanism of normalization ratio was applied,” Sheth told ANI while replying to whether the exam was earlier held in shifts.

“Yes, we have decided to conduct the NEET-PG on August 11 in two shifts. Students should not worry about the two-shift examination because it applies to most of the other exams in the country that are taken in the shifts. The cut-off date for the purpose of the eligibility to appear in the NEET-PG 2024 will continue to be August 15, 2024,” he said in a conversation with ANI.

“This is a standard technique for conducting the exams not only in the country but around the globe. Standard normalisation ration will be applied in two shifts. I don’t see any problem with this issue. The students should not worry about this. The steps have been taken in the best interest of the students, and we will ensure that the logistics of the examination will be even improved,” he added.
