Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha, in an ongoing alleged cheating case filed in Uttar Pradesh, was reportedly investigated by the Moradabad police at her Mumbai residence on Thursday.
Case registered against actress Sonakshi Sinha at Katghar Police Station under sections 420 (cheating) & 406 of IPC. In 2018, she had taken ₹24 lakh for a stage performance but she didn’t show up to the event.

Cops visited Sonakshi’s house but Sonakshi wasn’t present there, they are said to have left after a few hours of investigation.
When MumbaiMirror contacted the local police of Juhu, they confirmed the news stating, “The Moradabad police had approached us on Thursday asking for support from local police. We provided them with the manpower and the team had gone to their house Ramayana in Juhu for recording the statement of Sinha. The police wanted to record Sinha’s statement but she was not in the house when the police team visited the house. They are likely to visit the house again on Friday.”
Sonakshi’s spokesperson has been quoted saying, “In her nine years long career she has only worked with complete honesty and sincerity. What this man is accusing her of is completely untrue and baseless. This is just a way of extortion by maligning her spot free reputation in the press and it is not something that Sonakshi and her team will succumb to. She is a thorough professional and we have been more than cooperative with whichever authorities that have gotten in touch with us because we have nothing to hide.”
On the professional front, Sonakshi will be next seen in Mission Mangal starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, and Sharman Joshi.
