Washington: A third part accessory for Apple has been reportedly designed to double the Apple Watch’s battery life with its high-density polymer case that straps on to the device.
The ‘Wipowerband’ reportedly delivers up to two days of battery life to Cupertino’s smartwatch.
The power band packs a high-density li-polymer battery tucked into a polypropylene plastic core, which also protects the Apple Watch from damage.
Recharging the power band takes place over a Lightning connector.Â
The Wipowerband is scheduled to launch sometime in May or June, presumably if it actually works with Apple’s product and is approved by Apple.
The power band is already available for pre-order at $89 for band compatible with the 38mm Apple Watch, and tops out at $99 for a 42mm-compatible variant.
The accessory is available in a variety of colours – white, black, orange, blue, and pink.
