New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Wednesday announced that veteran cricketer VVS Laxman will be coach for India’s tour of Ireland starting from June 26.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah announced that VVS Laxman will join the squad as head coach and will travel with the team to Dublin. The tour is slated at the time when another team will travel to England to play the 5th test match against England. Rahul Dravid will join the test squad as head coach.
VVS Laxman is currently working as the sitting director of NCA (National Cricket Academy) in Bengaluru. Laxman was also part of the Bengal domestic cricket team as a batting consultant for the side.
