Apart from the accommodation, food and college fees, there are several expenses that a student has to meet. So we bring you tips on how to spend little but yet live comfortably, whilst also enjoying your young-adulthood.

Accommodation

Students do not need a big 3 BHK, but can easily survive in a medium size room with some basic amenities. A room, in a peaceful locality which is close to college, will save time and money. In Delhi, Paying Guest (PG) accommodations, as well as independent rooms, are easily available. If you also have the opportunity you could apply for the hostel accommodation within the premises. You also have PG options that are inclusive of meals as well.

PG accommodation comprises individual as well as shared ones. In South Delhi, close to South Campus, a PG accommodation is available for Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000, which will include the room rent, electricity charges, furniture and two meals. The prices vary from place to place, depending on the facilities provided.

For a single room without furniture, without food and electricity bills to be paid, it will cost around Rs 5,000 to Rs 9,000, with or without A/C and furniture. Such rooms are easily available near North Campus and South Campus.

For students of North Campus, Kamala Nagar, GBT Nagar, Mukherjee Nagar, CR Park, Shashtri Nagar and Lakshmi Nagar would be ideal. For South campus, Satya Nikaten, Green Park, Malviya Nagar would be comfortable.
