New Delhi, Sep 4 (PTI) Udit Raj, BJP’s Lok Sabha MP fromNorth West Delhi, today inaugurated a slew of projects underthe Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna, a pet project of Prime MinisterNarendra Modi which has seen mixed progress since its launch. Raj said the scheme has the potential to be a "gamechanger" and he is using its resources to develop thevillages. "The scheme has the ability to be a game changer. It isaimed not only at physical development but also at changingmindsets of people. It is also aimed at increasing scientific,technical and commercial focus of agriculture as traditionalpractices of agriculture are still followed in Delhi’svillages," he said in a statement. He has adopted Jaunti village in his constituency and hasstarted projects like construction of a toilet block at a costof Rs 12 lakh, construction of a welcome gate in the villageat a cost of Rs 23 lakh, inauguration of high mast and LEDlights at a cost of Rs 71 lakh from MPLADS funds among otherprogrammes, it said. "The Modi government has created countless opportunitiesfor farmers to increase their incomes and develop them intoentrepreneurs," he said, seeking the villagers’ cooperation.PTI KR ADSZMN
