Jammu: Amid the ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi broke his silence over the controversy of the BBC’s two-part documentary– “India: The Modi Question” and claimed that ‘truth always comes out’.
While addressing a press conference in the final phase of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Rahul Gandhi said, “No amount of banning the press and using institutions like ED and CBI against people can suppress the truth from coming out.”
According to reports, he added that “If you read Bhagwat Gita or the Upanishads, you can observe that the truth always comes out.”
He further lashed out at the central government and added that “no amount of banning, oppression and frightening people is going to stop the truth from coming out.”
Earlier, the government denounced the controversial BBC documentary series on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, describing it as a ‘propaganda piece’ designed to push a discredited narrative.
