Teach Yoga not sex: Vardhan

Date:

New Delhi: Health Minister Harsh Vardhan thinks sex education in schools should be banned and Yoga education should be made compulsory. His earlier remarks that fidelity should be preferred over condoms to prevent AIDS created a flutter only a couple of days ago.

In his ‘vision document’ for Delhi, Vardhan said states must integrate value education with course content and put strong emphasis on exposing students to India’s cultural relations.

“So-called ‘sex education’ to be banned. Value Education will be integrated with course content. Yoga should be made compulsory,” says Vardhan in the document on his website.
