Surat based snack and tea vendor found with more than 650 crores of property, I-T reveals

I-T department grew suspicion over Surat-based tea and snack vendor named Kishore Bhajiawala when he deposited more than a crore in bank post demonetization.

After department began investigating they found over 650 crore worth of property to his name and his family and associates. Over 50 kg of silver, 1.39 crore worth and more than 6.5 crores in cash was recovered from various lockers belonging to Kishore.

The controversial tea and snacks vendor ran a stall in Udhna in the outskirts of Surat city in Gujarat since last three decades.

Investigators also found several photographs of Kishor with some of the top BJP leaders of Gujarat.
