Sikhs condemn use of force against protesters in Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 29 (PTI) Various Sikh organisations of Jammuand Kashmir today condemned the use of force againstprotesters in the Valley and appealed to the world communityand the UN to take serious note of the situation. "We condemn the killing spree in Kashmir, excessive use ofpellet guns, ransacking of houses and other property byforces. This mass uprising in Kashmir cannot be suppressedwith the excessive use of force," Narinder Singh Khalsa,chairman of Sikh Intellectuals Circle, told reporters here ata joint press conference along with the leaders of ShiromaniAkali Dal-Amritsar, International Sikh Federation and SikhStudents Federation. "We appeal the world community, the UN and human rightsorganisations to take serious note of the state-sponsoredbrutality against peaceful mass-uprising in Kashmir," he said.PTI SSB MIJ MRJ ZMNMRJ
