The two-ever-shining stars of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, and Akshay Kumar are amongst the 100 top-earning celebrities of the world, according to Forbes magazine’s 2016 annual list. American singer Taylor Swift topped the list with a whopping $170 million to her name, and popular British boyband- One Direction, came second with 110 million USD. Our very own “King Khan” graced the list at 86th rank, with annual earnings of $33 million. The pricey Khan charges almost equivalently for his endorsements as he does for a film, and telling by how many ads he gets, it’s not very hard to imagine his name in the list.
While Akshay is not new to landing on Forbes’ enviable list, his ranking has actually dropped from 2015’s 76th to this year’s 94th place. Not that it is in any way a bad time for the hunky actor, as he earned his spot with a proud $31.5 million bucks.
Some other notable celebrities to join this elite “richest clique” are- Author James Patterson (3rd spot), Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo (4th spot), comedian Kevin Hart (6th spot), cook Gordon Ramsay (34th spot), socialite Kim Kardashian (42nd spot), rapper Drake (69th spot), amongst the others. In fact list topper Taylor Swift and her recent ex-boyfriend, apart from sharing a history, also share space on the list, as Harris also appeared on it, ranked 21st.
As it can be noted, people on this list are not only from varied nationalities but also from a variety of professional backgrounds, and the one thing that probably brings them together is that they are all at the top of their game.
