Sebastian Vettel Announce Retirement At The End of Season

Date:

Formula 1 racer Sebastian Vettel will retire from racing as one of the most outstanding athletes in history. The 35-year-old said he had spent a lot of time thinking about it and that the decision was tough.

Vettel, who has 53 victories overall and is third best of Grand Prix winners, won all four of his titles with Red Bull between 2010 and 2013.

He failed to secure the extremely desirable fifth victory during a six-year stay with Ferrari, and throughout his one and a half years with Aston Martin, where his contract expires at the end of 2022, he has only achieved one podium finish.

At the end of the year, he stated that he would take more time to consider on what he will emphasis on next. He also said that favouring more time to his family is important.

He continued saying that this is not about saying goodbye. Instead, it’s about expressing thank you to all, especially the fans because F1 would not be possible without their strong support.
