Sahara Group Chief Subrata Roy Passes Away At 75

Mumbai: Sahara Group Managing Worker and Chairman Subrata Roy passed away in Mumbai at the age of 75 due to cardiorespiratory arrest, as confirmed by a statement.

“It is with profound sadness that Sahara India Pariwar informs the demise of our Hon’ble Saharaan Subrata Roy Sahara, Managing Worker and Chairman, Sahara Indias Pariwar,” the Sahara Group said in a statement.

“Saharasri ji an inspirational leader and visionary, passed away on 14th November 2023 at 10.30 pm due to cardiorespiratory arrest following an extended battle with complications arising from metastatic malignancy, hypertension, and diabetes. He was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital & Medical Research Institute (KDAH) on 12 November, 2023 following a decline in health,” the statement added.

Hailing from Bihar, Roy left an indelible mark on the Indian business scene, crafting an extensive empire that reached across finance, real estate, media, and hospitality sectors.
