Film director, Ram Gopal Verma has already announced his work on another Sanjay Dutt biopic titled ‘Sanju: The Real Story’, in spite of the current successfully running film ‘Sanju’ by Raj Kumar Hirani that is consistently breaking all records at the box office.
Although ‘Sanju’ is a hit, the real-life story of Sanjay Dutt has been kept a secret even now and there is no mention of his connection with the serial bomb blasts of 1933 in Mumbai and for keeping an AK-56 rifle. Ram Gopal Verma’s film, however, will focus on this part of his life in particular.
When Ram saw the film ‘Sanju’, he appreciated the emotional context of the film, however, criticised it for hiding the actor’s real instances. The new version will focus on details such as the people behind threatening the actor’s family and compelling him to possess the rifle that landed him in trouble.
Director Ram Gopal Verma has been meeting Sanjay Dutt’s associates and police officials involved with the investigation to complete his research. However, no further details of the cast have been revealed yet.
