New Delhi: Union Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu presented the Modi led government’s first Railways budget on Thursday in the Lok Sabhha.
Focusing heavily on developing a structure for the railways with 11 thrust point arenas and four key focus areas, Prabhu’s budget revolved around giving more to the common man and developing it to world standards which will focus on cost effectiveness to the government and being pocket-friendly to the people.
However, some key takeaways were no hike in fares, utilisation of solar power and more CCTVs for women security amongst others.
