Hardik Patel, the man who led Patidar agitation for reservation in education and jobs for the Patel community was arrested near MP-Rajasthan border on Monday, during his visit to Mandsaur to meet the protesting farmers.

Hardik Patel, 23 was picked up by the police near Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh by the orders of Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan. He was arrested for the violations of Section 144 by the police, which means a gathering of more than 4 people is an offence, according to the reports.
Section 144 have been implemented in the areas intensified by farmers and police clashes after 6 farmers were killed after police firings last week.

Hardik Patel said “I am not a terrorist and I am not from Lahore, I am an Indian citizen and the right to go anywhere in the country,”in an interview.
