Parliamentary panel meets NCERT, CBSE officials

New Delhi, Aug 29 (PTI) Discussions on school educationincluding provisions related to fee hikes and updation ofexisting by-laws featured today in a meeting of parliamentarypanel with officials of NCERT and CBSE. Sources said that in the meeting of the ParliamentaryStanding Committee on HRD which was headed by BJP MPSatyanarayan Jatiya, the issues related to the criterion andprovisions on fee hikes were deliberated upon. CBSE officials told the parliamentary panel that they areexamining the existing by-laws to update and bring them inline with latest requirements, a source said. NCERT officials made a presentation about the work beingdone in the organisation. "There was a detailed discussion on various aspectsrelated to school education including work being done oncurriculum designing, regulatory provisions etc," a sourcesaid. PTI ADSKUN
