Nitin Desai Recorded Audio Messages Before Committing Suicide: Police

Date:

Mumbai: Days after the shocking demise of Bollywood’s noted art director Nitin Desai, police revealed that Desai had recorded several audio messages right before committing suicide.

As the probe continues, the audio clips have also been sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for further probe, police said.

Without revealing any major details and names mentioned in the audio clips, the police  said that Desai named certain people with whom he was really upset with. The course of whole investigation into the case might change after the FSL report of the audio clips are out, the police added.

Desai was found hanging by a rope in his studio in Maharashtra’s Raigad. Several reports suggest that Desai had been facing serious financial crisis since January 2020. ND’s Art World Pvt Ltd, a company owned by Desai had reportedly borrowed ₹185 crore through two loans from ECL Finance in 2016 and 2018.
