New Delhi: Renowned entrepreneur and co-founder of Infosys, NR Narayana Murthy, has once again seized the spotlight. Murthy has gifted shares valued at over ₹240 crore to his four-month-old grandson, Ekagrah Rohan Murty, making Ekagrah one of India’s youngest millionaires even before taking his first steps.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- As per an exchange filing, Ekagrah owns 15,00,000 shares of Infosys, amounting to a 0.04 percent stake in the company.
- Ekagrah, born in November 2023 to Rohan Murthy and Aparna Krishnan, is the third grandchild of Narayan and Sudha Murty.
- From its humble beginnings with an initial investment of ₹10,000 in 1981, Infosys has emerged as India’s second-largest tech company.
- Murthy’s stake in the tech company has now decreased from 0.40 percent to 0.36 percent, amounting to 1.51 crore shares.
