Municipality official murdered

Muzaffarnagar, Sep 21 (PTI) The head clerk of a local bodyhere was murdered by unidentified assailants who slit histhroat at Kandhla town in Shamli district, police said today. The incident took place last night when Shamim Ahmad, headclerk of Kandhla municipality, was working and the accusedentered his room and slit his throat, SHO Anuradha Singhalsaid. Ahmad died on the spot, she said. Police rushed to the spot and sent the body forpostmortem, Singhal said.
