Melbourne Test: India declare at 443/7 on Day 2, Aus trail by 435 runs

India batsmen were on a roll on Day 2 of the Melbourne Test, the third one in the four match series. Pujara scored a century and the Indian skipper and Rohit Sharma hit a 50 each. Virat Kohli declared the innings for India at 443 for 7.

At stumps Australia on Thursday Australia were 8/0, trailing India by 435 runs.

Rohit Sharma brought up half a century in the post tea session, his 10th Test half-century, off 97 deliveries.

At teatime India was 346/4. Rahane was batting at on 30 and Rohit Sharma at 13 after Kohli & Pujara scored 82 & 106 respectively

At lunch on Day 2 India was 277 for the loss of 2 wickets. Pujara was batting at 103 and Kohli at 69.

Pujara and Kohli began Day 2 by completing a stand of a century and Kohli making a 50.
