In another turn in the sensational Sheena Bora murder case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday has taken the recently leaked tapes into account to investigate the high-profile murder mystery.
“These form an integral part of the evidence against Peter Mukerjea and others which have already been submitted in court. The matter is subjudice,” CBI said.
According to reports, of the 20 recording handed over to the CBI, only seven have been deemed relevant to the case and been used. The recordings suggest that Indrani and Peter tried to cover up Sheena’s murder.
CBI had relied on seven out of 20 transcripts in the charge sheet. Now it has given the remaining 13 to the accused.

The leaked tapes released by Times Now, reveal that Peter tells Rahul: “What if she (Sheena) has disappeared, why are you making all this fuss”. This is a considerably damning conversation. The conversations were recorded by Rahul.
Sheena’s brother Mikhail said, “The phone tapes are crucial, I am sure it will help the CBI. I hope justice prevails soon.”
Of 20 clips here are some key pointers from the leaked tapes:
Clip 1: Rahul asks Peter about Sheena’s whereabouts to which Peter says that he did not know anything about her.
Clip 2: Rahul says that Sheena was not a sort of a person who would take off without informing anyone.
Clip 5: Indrani tells Rahul that Sheena might have found some other person to take money from. She also says that Sheena did not contact her after taking money from her.
Clip 3: Rahul tells Indrani and Peter that two people from Sheena’s office came to ask Rahul about Sheena’s whereabouts.
Clip 8: Indrani says that she did not know who her boyfriend was and says they could not do anything in case she had left the country. Indrani says that maybe Sheena wants to move on from Rahul.
Clip 13: Rahul says that he thinks something is going wrong and adds that he knows Peter and Indrani know it too.
Clip 17: Rahul says that he is not okay with having to take Indrani’s word for it. He goes on saying that he doesn’t buy the explanation Peter gave him.
On August 12, a Special CBI Court had adjourned the hearing in the high-profile murder case for two weeks. The CBI had to respond within two weeks as to when it would finish the probe in the case.
