Farmers in Uttarkhand, faced with a wild boar problem threatening their crops, have found an easy solution.
The solution, as unbelievable as it may sound, entails playing Hindi-Panjabi rap songs at loud volumes to scare away the animals. According to Times of India, last year, the farmers in the region were left bankrupt after their crops were destroyed by animals. This year, the innovative solution was discovered by a farmer named Bishan Jantwal of Nainital district, who installed loudspeakers around his farm, to scare away animals.
The loudspeakers play the latest songs of Yo Yo Honey Singh and other Punjabi singers, and the method seems to be working, as the music is keeping animals away. The idea once successful, was emulated by other in the village, and in other villages as well.
