Health app to measure stress levels launched by JP Nadda

Measure your stress levels, understand its reasons and adopt ways to fight it- all at the swipe of your finger with the new ‘No More Tension‘ mobile application launched by Union Health Minister J P Nadda on Wednesday.

Users will also have access to a one-stop-for-all health portal, which will host all the mobile applications launched by the Health Ministry.

“I have asked the e-governance division of the government that people should be able to access all our health applications on the National Health Portal webpage,” Nadda said.

The “No More Tension” app educates users about stress, tells you what are the different reasons and indicators for stress and also lets you measure your stress levels on its “Stress Meter”.

It also suggests ways to get rid of stress through yoga, meditation and walking. There are 11 different yoga mudras one can learn through this application.

The application is available for download on Google Play store and will be available on Windows shortly.

The Health Minister also emphasised on the need to “Catch them Young” and target the youth in order to effect behaviour change among them and keep them away from habits that cause non-communicable diseases.

A magazine titled “Healthy India Initiative/Swastha Bharat-ek pehal” was also launched and is available in the form

of an e-book as well. Initially, the magazine will be in two languages – Hindi and English. Later, it will be made available in 13 languages.

These magazines will be available at all government agencies for free.

The Minister also shared the government’s plan to design a booklet for school students which will create awareness among them about health issues. These booklets will use pictorial representations.

However, he clarified that this will not be part of the formal school syllabus.
