Washington: Facebook has now rolled out a new update to their chatting app which includes a dedicated ‘Messenger’ app for iPad. The update further includes bug fixes and the ability to save videos within the app directly to your phone’s camera roll.Â
Earlier, users could use messenger app on iPad but it was just an enlarged version of the iPhone app, now users will have an app seperately made for their iPad.
Messenger allows users to contact their Facebook friends for free via the tool, forgoing text messaging.
The news comes three years after Facebook acquired group messaging app Beluga and later built that technology into Messenger, which became its first mobile app launched beyond its official Facebook application.
