Amidst the debate over the authenticity of Electronic Voting Machines (EVM), Commissioner of Election Commission, Nasim Zaidi has confirmed the schedule of the EVM challenge and it will be held on June 3rd at Nirvachan Sadan.
Election Commission briefed the political parties in a press conference held in New Delhi on Saturday. Nasim Zaidi said that the parties have to confirm their participation by 26th of May to take part in the challenge. The parties will be given 4 hours duration to prove that EVMs could be manipulated under the vigilance of tech safeguards.

The claimant can choose four EVM’s from any four constituencies to contest the challenge. Earlier in the press conference, Zaidi claimed that EVM’s are not connected to the internet and hence its impossible to manipulate and hack the machines.
