England beat India by 31-runs; keeps semi-final hopes alive

England defeated India by 31-runs to keep their semi-final hopes alive.  England captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and opted to bat first and set a target of 338-runs at Edgbaston, Birmingham.

Chasing the target India fall short of 31-runs by the eng of 50-overs.

There is no hiding of the fact that the imminent match between India and England holds a lot more significance in the lives of the exuberant fans as both the teams entered in the premier tournament with the favourites tag on their shoulder.
