Endowments dept officer held in disproportionate assets case

Vijayawada, Sept 1 (PTI) Sleuths of Anti-CorruptionBureau today arrested a deputy commissioner rank officer ofthe Endowments Department for allegedly possessing assetsdisproportionate to his known sources of income. ACB conducted simultaneous searches on the propertiesof Kancharla Vijaya Sagar Babu in Krishna district and hisrelatives and friends’ houses in Kurnool district of AndhraPradesh today, the agency stated in a release. The value of the assets was estimated to be over Rs 2.69 crore according to book value. The officer would be produced in the special court forACB cases in Vijayawada tomorrow and the investigation intothe case would continue, the release said. PTI DBV NSK SGRDS
