Does the sun emit the sound of ‘Om’? No, the video shared by Kiran Bedi is Fake

Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, Kiran Bedi, recently shared a video on Twitter claiming that NASA recorded the sound of the Sun and it sounds like ‘Om’.

Similar videos have been in circulation for quite some time now.

 

FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the claim and found the claim to be FALSE.

A quick Google search led us to to the video uploaded by NASA on their YouTube channel on July 26, 2018. The description read, “These are solar sounds generated from 40 days of the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory’s (SOHO) Michelson Doppler Imager (MDI) data and processed by A. Kosovichev.”

The sound of the sun in the video uploaded by NASA doesn’t sound like ‘OM’. You can read more of the sound of the sun in this report by NASA.

The above information proves that the video shared by Kiran Bedi is false and the sun does not emit the sound of Om.
