Jaipur, Sep 6 (PTI) Rajasthan Congress president SachinPilot today accused the state government of failing to controlcrime and said it was an "irony" that crime against women wason the rise despite Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje being awoman. "As per the figures released by the central government,Rajasthan is ranked fourth in cases of atrocities againstDalits and women and rape. "Chief Minister and Home Minister have completely failedin controlling crime. Law-and-order situation is not good evenin Jhalawar from where the chief minister hails," he toldreporters in Churu. "It is an irony that chief minister of the state is awoman but crime against women is on the rise," he said. The PCC chief and former union minister also held theRaje government responsible for alleged starvation deaths inUdaipur and said the government has failed to provide basicamenities to people. He also targeted Raje over her claim of providing jobs tonine lakh people in Rajasthan. "If the claims made by the CM recently is true, thegovernment should release the figures. The government shouldalso present actual figures of the education sector andinvestment made in the state," he said. "BJP has lost confidence of people and the party workersare not satisfied.
