Delhi traffic constable abducted by sand-laden truck

New Delhi: A Delhi traffic police constable was abducted by a sand-laden truck and driven around for over 10 kilometres in the national capital on Wednesday night.

According to reports, PCR vans chased the truck for 20 minutes before it was intercepted near the Jhandewalan area in the city.

Police are probing the role of the sand mafia in the incident, with an investigation revealing that the truck had entered the city from neighbouring Haryana.

An FIR has been registered and the police are currently looking for the truck owner.
