Raipur, Sep 21 (PTI) A CoBRA commando, who wascritically injured in an encounter with the Naxals inChhattisgarh’s Sukma district last week, died at a privatehospital here today. Head Constable Uday Narayan Goud (41), belonging toCRPF’s specialised unit Commando Battalion for ResoluteAction’s (CoBRA) 206th battalion, succumbed this morning atRamkrishna Care Hospital in Raipur, a CRPF official said. Wreath-laying ceremony of the jawan will be held atthe police battalion camp at Mana in the outskirts of thecapital at 4 PM, the official said. Subsequently, the body will be sent by air to hisnative place in Buxar district of Bihar, he added. The jawan had sustained bullet injuries in his stomachduring the gun-battle with ultras which took place in therestive Karigundam forests under Chintagufa Police Stationlimits of Sukma on September 16 while they were returningafter an area domination operation in the region.
