Rajamahendravaram (AP), Sep 17 (PTI) The InternationalCoastal Cleanup Day was today observed at Vakalapudi beach ineast Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh under the aegis ofthe Coast Guard. District Collector H Arun Kumar participated incleaning of the beach along with Coast Guard personnel andstudents. Kumar stressed the need for protecting coastal beachesfrom insanitary conditions in order to attract more tourists. Commandant of Coast Guard Station Kakinada R K Sharmasaid polluting the sea water affects the living organismsinside the sea ultimately affecting the livelihoods offishermen. PTI CORR NRB ASVBAS
