Broadband internet services to resume in Valley

Srinagar, Sep 17 (PTI)Broadband internet services of BSNLin Kashmir Valley would be restored tonight after remainingsuspended for five days. "The broadband internet services will be restoredtonight," an official said. The services were snapped on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha onSeptember 12 in view of the apprehensions of law-and-orderproblems. Mobile telephony services, excluding the post-paidconnections of BSNL were also snapped across the Valley at 4PM on the same day. However, there was no word on therestoration of such services. Mobile internet remains suspended in the violence-hitvalley since July 10 after the unrest broke out in the wake ofthe killing of Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani with thesecurity forces on July 8. As many as 81 people including two cops have been killedand several thousands have been injured in the violence sofar. PTI SSB MIJ SG RGSG
