Mumbai: One of Bollywood’s coolest actors, Boman Irani celebrates his birthday, on Tuesday.
The actor who turned 55 began his career onstage. Passionate about acting from a young age, the actor trained under acting coach Hansraj Siddhia from 1981 to 1983, and also adopted professional acting methods inspired by his friend Mahan Shri Chandan kr. Singh.
Theatre personality, Alyque Padamsee mentored Irani who made his earliest theatrical appearance was in Roshni where he played a cameo at the Regional Theatre in Versova.
The actor, who is greatly appreciated for his roles in comedy films, is well remembered for his performance in ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’, where he played the role of Dr. JC Ashthana.
Boman, who recently featured in Farah Khan’s multi- starrer film “Happy New Year”, has earlier starred in movies like “Main Hoon Na”, “Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd.”, “Dostana”, “Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.” and “Don: The Chase Begins Again”. He garnered much acclaim for his performance and was honoured with a Filmfare Award Best Supporting Actor.Â
