Rijiju, Minister of State for Home, who belongs to Rijiju, Minister of State for Home, who belongs toArunachal Pradesh, apprised the gathering about the planschalked out by the government to mark the 70th year ofIndependence and said that the same is being done to paytribute to the martyrs of Indian freedom struggle and also toboost the morale of the forces and contact the masses residingin the border areas. Rijiju appreciated the tremendous sacrifices made by themembers of the Indian Armed forces towards the safetyand security of the nation. He thanked Bhosle for coming all the way to motivate thejawans. Rijiju assured restoration of damaged roads and improvingconnectivity wherever required apart from taking up the issueof the restoration of damages caused in the landslides. The central government is commemorating the 70th year ofIndependence and a special 15-day celebratory campaign called’Azadi-70 celebrations’ has been launched from August 9 to 23throughout the country. As a part of this initiative, a musical programme wasorganised last evening at Buddha Stadium at Bomdila. Thepersonnel from SSB, ITBP, BRO and Army, apart from the generalpublic, attended it.
