AMC by-poll: SS, NCP win one seat each

Aurangabad, Aug 29 (PTI) Nationalist Congress Partygrabbed the Buddi lane ward seat from AIMIM whereas Shiv senaretained the Begumpura seat in the Aurangabad MunicipalCorporation’s by-election. The results were declared today after the voting onSunday. Byelections became necessary as the caste certificates ofsitting members were declared invalid. In ward no 12, Begumpura, Sachin Khaire of Shiv Sena wonby defeating his nearest rival Anil Bhingare, an independent,by 723 votes. In Buddi Lane, Parveen Begumm Qaiser Khan of NCP defeatedAIMIM’s Shahnaz Begum Khaja Miya. PTI CorKRK
