‘Amar Chitra Katha’ Creator Uncle Pai Aka Anant Pai’s Biography To Turn Into Digital

Date:

The life of Anant Pai, the author of the ‘Amar Chitra Katha’ series of comic books centred on historical and mythical themes, will soon be transformed into an audio-visual tale based on Rajessh M. Iyer’s biography ‘Uncle Pai.’

The production company, Almighty Motion Picture, has acquired the A/V rights of the biography ‘Uncle Pai’ and has yet to clarify whether the content would be converted into a web series or a feature.

Anant Pai’s journey and vision, which reached countless people over many generations, from a town in Karnataka to Mumbai, is as fascinating as the books he created.

‘Uncle Pai’ by Rajessh M. Iyer is filled with rare stories that chart the path of a great man, Anant Pai and his indomitable spirit, which enabled millions of Indians to reconnect with their culture.

“Taking the story of India’s beloved Uncle Pai to a wider audience through a film or a web series is a logical cinematic tribute to the man who introduced millions of Indians to their glorious storytelling heritage. And, I’m also extremely elated with the fact that an esteemed production house like Almighty Motion Pictures spearheading this,” author Rajessh M Iyer stated.
