All set for ‘Mastizaade’ as Censor board gives nod

Date:

Mumbai: Filmmaker Milap Zaveri’s upcoming adult comedy ‘Mastizaade’ has finally got the censor certificate, said its actor Riteish Deshmukh.

The film, which wrapped up in December last year and is expected to hit theatres in May, was being held back by the Censor Board owing to its bold content.

‘Mastizaade’ stars Sunny Leone, Tusshar Kapoor and Vir Das in prominent roles. It is produced by Pritish and Rangita Nandy.

Riteish, who will be doing a cameo in the film, tweeted, “Censor Certificate for Mastizaade congrats @PritishNandy @zmilap @RangitaNandy @SunnyLeone @thevirdas & @TusshKapoor.”

An elated Sunny wrote, “Everyone who said to us it would not happen!! Well to all those, faith and determination and inner masti Zaade took over @MastizaadeFilm. So beyond excited @MastizaadeFilm is ready to be released to the world!!”

“Mastizaade” marks scriptwriter-filmmaker Zaveri’s second directorial venture post 2010 sci-fi romance “Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai”.

Zaveri wrote the scripts of adult comedies ‘Masti’ and ‘Grand Masti’.
