Airport agent held at IGIA for stealing valuables of sleeping

flier New Delhi, Sep 17 (PTI) A customer service agent at theIndira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) here has beenapprehended for allegedly stealing Rs 5,000 and othervaluables of a passenger sleeping in the terminal. Officials said the incident was reported late night onSeptember 15 when CISF sleuths deployed at the airportdetected suspicious movements of a customer service agent of afirm over the CCTV. They said the agent, identified as Deepak U Bopche, wastrailed and it was seen he allegedly stole Rs 5,000, a fewbank cards and a mobile phone from the baggage of a travellerwho was sleeping inside a coffee shop in the terminal-III ashe was waiting for his early morning flight to Mumbai. Bopche was soon apprehended with the stolen goods and itwas restored to the passenger after which the agent was handedover to Delhi Police, they said. In a separate incident on the same day, an employee of acourier company died after he suffered a heart attack in thecargo area of the airport. PTI NESSMN
