14th edition of Bio Asia from February 6

Hyderabad, Aug 26 (PTI) The 14th edition of Bio Asiawould be held during February 6 to February 8 next year here. The annual event would be jointly organised by theTelangana Industries department in partnership with theFederation of Asian Biotech Associations and thePharmaceutical Export Promotion Council, according to anofficial release. Telangana Minister for Industries and Commerce andInformation Technology, K T Rama Rao launched the website ofBio Asia 2017 at the Secretariat today. The Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce andEnergy Arvind Kumar, and Managing Director of Telangana StateIndustrial Infrastructure Corporation, Narasimha Reddy wereamong those present on the occasion. Rama Rao said Bio Asia, Telangana’s flagship event,has gained significant recognition for offering a uniqueplatform for the convergence of business leaders, policymakers, investors, and scientific community from about 50countries to network, share expertise & knowledge, and conductbusiness. This edition of Bio Asia with its theme "Power of thePast, Forces of the Future" resonates with the threshold atwhich the Indian life sciences sector is currently situated,he said, adding that considerable progress has been achieved,but much more is needed to continue fueling the growth of theindustry. "Bio Asia presents a great opportunity to build keyrelationships, partnerships and channels which will enable tousher in the new era of the life sciences industry inTelangana, in India and in the world," the minister added.
