11 year old, Cancer survivor killed herself over bullying

Date:

Somethings are so wrong in the society, that makes us shocked than being pitiful. An 11-year old, who should have been a hero, given that she survived Brain Cancer at such a young age, shot herself under “relentless” bullying.

Bethany Thompson, a sixth-grader at Triad Middle School, Ohio took her life after bearing constant insults about her “crooked smile,”by school kids, according to her mother, Wendy Feucht.

Nerve damage from the Brain Tumour Surgery had affected her smile. Her appearance was just one of many traits that her school bullies targeted to make fun of her.

“It wasn’t a huge issue, but she was very sensitive about it,” her mother said. “She had been picked on it before.” Her mother remembers her as a kind-hearted girl who loved superheroes and animals, who wanted tp grow up and become a veterinarian or paleontologist.

Feucht said she’s more sad, confused and disappointed than angry about how her daughter’s case was handled. She now hopes to spread awareness about the serious consequences of bullying.
