FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the post, and found it to be FALSE.

The NM team thoroughly scanned the website and social media handles of ABP News, but could not find any election survey predicting Mayawati as the first choice  for the CM post in Madhya Pradesh.

A report by ABP News, dated October 11, 2023, clarifies that ABP News had conducted an election survey in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan in collaboration with an organisation named “C-Voter”. In the survey, 43% had declared Shivraj Singh Chauhan as their first choice for the CM Post. Congress leader Kamal Nath came in second place with 42% and Jyotiraditya Scindia was in third place with 10%.

According to another report by ABP News, Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party will play a major role in the upcoming Madhya Pradesh elections and could influence at least three dozen seats. However, it is to be noted that Mayawati’s name was not mentioned anywhere in the survey conducted by ABP News.

Thus, it is confirmed that the viral screenshot is morphed by using editing software tools.
