Running a Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes, our team spotted a YouTube shorts video, titled: Mbappe’s reaction says it all “I left Mbappe speechless”, published on the verified channel OussiFooty, dated June 5, 2022.
The video looks similar to the viral clip and Mbappe’s reaction is exactly the same in both the videos. This indicates that the viral clip may have been digitally altered.
Searching further, we came across a VFX breakdown video on TikTok with split screens showing a robot in one and OussiFooty in the other. The video is quite similar to the viral clip and we could see many such VFX-generated videos on the TikTok user — Laserprodai’s account. This confirms that the viral clip has been made digitally.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral video, claiming to show Kylian Mbappe playing football with a robot, is false.
